HTR-SIM
KBC NHTR-SIM™, DHTR-SIM™, VGOHTR-SIM™ and RHDS-SIM™ software solution models simulate a wide range of refinery hydrotreating units. These hydrotreating models can be used for unit monitoring, as well as to quantify and analyse the relative economic advantages of different feed slates, feed rates, reactor severities, product fractionation schemes, and equipment modifications for debottlenecking.

The KBC SIM Hydrotreating model series consists of:
  • NHTR-SIM for Naphtha Hydrotreaters
  • DHTR-SIM for Kerosene and Distillate (Diesel/No. 2 Fuel Oil) Hydrotreaters
  • VGOHTR-SIM for Hydrotreaters Feeding Heavy Gas Oils (Vacuum Gas Oil, Deasphalted Oil Or Coker Heavy Gas Oil)
  • RHDS-SIM for Heavy Residues (Atmospheric and Vacuum Residues)

These hydrotreating solutions are flexible, and they can simulate a wide variety of hydrotreating unit configurations and catalyst types. The simulation models fixed-bed hydrotreaters include: individual reactor beds, interbed quenches, makeup, recycle, and low and high pressure separator flashes, fractionator separation, and vent/purge. Each of the Hydrotreater SIM models is available as standalone model or within Petro-SIM™ and Petro-SIM Express.
