Petro-SIM Express includes all the flowsheeting features of Petro-SIM to allow building of detailed unit models, model auxiliary processes, and other tasks typically done with traditional simulators. Yet, Petro-SIM Express still contains the features of Petro-SIM that make it unique: assay handling, special distillation modules, and LP Vector generation, as well as interconnectivity with Microsoft Excel® and databases. If you are more interested in unit-based modeling than refinery-wide capabilities, Petro-SIM Express is the answer.

Petro-SIM Express is compatible with Petro-SIM and KBC SIM models, and it can "read in" cases from other commercial simulators for easy transitions.
