AMSIM is the world-leading amines sweetening technology from Schlumberger. It simulates the removal of H2S, CO2 and mercaptans from sour streams using amines. KBC provides AMSIM as an optional licensed feature with Petro-SIM and Petro-SIM Express. Features Amine sweetening requires specialised thermodynamics. AMSIM gives you a choice of Li-Mather or Kent-Eisenberg models. A rigorous non-equilibrium stage model and the Peng-Robinson equation of state are used to predict absorption, separation, and stripping. Amine solvents include MEA, DEA, TEA, MDEA, MDGA, and DIPA as well as mixtures. AMSIM operates over a large range of temperatures, pressures, solvent concentration and acid gas partial pressure. AMSIM is available as an optional module in Petro-SIM or Petro-SIM Express, and features the same ease of use, speed and flexibility as other units in Petro-SIM. Like other units in Petro-SIM, you have the option of using the flowsheet interface or having easy export to Excel. Benefits
