Delayed coking is used in many refineries to convert residual streams to useful products. DC-SIM lets you operate this unit more effectively, by allowing you to predict coker yields and product qualities for all your feedstock possibilities, coke drum temperatures and recycle rates options.
DC-SIM™ simulates the operation of delayed coking units in both fuel-grade or anode-grade service. |
| With DC-SIM, you can identify potential improvements in coker operations by monitoring daily operations and evaluating alternative operating strategies. For specified feeds, operating conditions, and constraints, this software determines resulting product yields and properties along with overall unit operating economics. DC-SIM also predicts the drum filling rates, which are valuable in fully utilising coke drum capacity.
DC-SIM lets you specify up to six different feedstocks, introduce either directly to the heater, into the bottom of the tower, or at locations near the flash zone. The application provides for a variety of flow schemes and supports multiple feeds, products, and stream routing options.
DC-SIM is available as a standalone model or within Petro-SIM™ and Petro-SIM Express™.
